(Quantity:1)

Dimensions: 13.7cm high, the rim 9cm diameter

Provenance:

Santos Collection

Notes:

This unusual jar was created in the kilns of Zhangzhou in the 17th century, during the late Ming dynasty, and was later-decorated during the 18th century, probably sometime during the Yongzheng or early Qianlong period, circa 1730-1740. This piece was perhaps an apprentice piece, or as a pattern to be copied during the early Qianlong reign when tea sets were manufactured in eggshell porcelain using two of these figures.
