An early 20th century Chinese export silver christening mug, Shanghai circa 1920, marked Ren An, retailed by Cum Shing
Republic period. Of tapering cylindrical form with a handle modelled as bamboo. The body with chased decoration of bamboo populated with birds against as matted ground, the front with a vacant circular cartouche. Marked underneath with artisan mark 仁安 (REN AN), and retailer’s mark CS.
