Crawford (Joan)

Crawford (Joan)

A selection of 14 typed letters signed ('Joan') on personalised pale blue stationery, all to a fan named Florence, thanking the recipient for her letters and gifts and discussing various projects Crawford was involved in: "I really don't know whether or not I will appear in Return to Peyton Place. There is no starting date on the picture as yet, and my own business schedule may conflict with their starting date. I filmed a Zane Grey Theatre show several weeks ago, and I understand it will be shown on television in this country on January 12th", 15 November 1960; "I have been working long hours on my autobiography with jane Ardmore, who is helping me write it. We will have it ready for Doubleday, the publishers, next week; and it should be published in the fall or winter", 28 April 1961, "I am not making any films at the moment, but am doing a television show on the 23rd, and filmed one last month that will be shown on the 29th. I will be going to Buenos Aires in November for a short business trip for Pepsi-Cola, and am looking forward to that very much", 16 October 1961; "I am planning to go to San Francisco and Honolulu in March, on a business trip for Pepsi-Cola Company, and will also go to Akron, Ohio to commentate a fashion show", 20 February 1962; "I finished The Caretakers with Robert Stack in June. I am presently working on What Ever Happened to baby Jane? with Bette Davis, and I expect to be working on this film for several months", 23 July 1962, "I've just returned from Canada where I went on a quick business trip for Pepsi-Cola. Now I am packing for a trip to the Grand Bahamas with a New York fashion group. Then in August I will be off to Taormina, Sicily, to a Film Festival. We will be at the famous ancient Greek theater there, and I am so anxious to see that beautiful spot. This will be my first trip to Sicily", 19 July 1965); 14 pages in total, folding marks and minor creasing, 8vo, n.p., 5 November 1960-18 April 1974. (14)
