A JAPANESE KINRAN TEMPLE HANGING AND A ROLL OF BROCADE.

19th/20th Century.

A kinran uchijiki woven in silk and metallic threads with confronted dragons and phoenix surrounded by linked medallions, set against purple ground, 160 x 134cm; a roll of silk obi brocade with a floral motif, 64cm width.

Provenance: from a private English collection acquired in 1920-30s’.
