20 Shilling Series, 91 volumes (of 92), lacking Lake Geneva, including a First Issue of War Impressions, all First Editions for the series, apart from: India; Japan; Kashmir; Bonnie Scotland; Surrey; World’s Children; each with numerous colour plates, some spotting, ownership inscriptions, bookplates, original decorative cloth, some wear, Insect Life, Kashmir and George Morland volumes with original dust-jackets, v.s., 1901-20; with 3 duplicates in later impressions (94)

***Although comprised mainly of travel books, the 20s series also includes such titles as: ‘World’s Children’ and ‘Egyptian Birds’. Taking advantage of a new three-color printing process, A & C Black released hundreds of color plate books between the years 1900 and 1930. Their series’ offered finely made books with large numbers of color plates to the general reading public.
