AN ANTIQUE KIRMAN LAVER RUG, SOUTH PERSIA

The ivory field with floral and leafy vine around large concentric double floral medallion with pendants. Open spandrels with double boteh motifs. In an ivory flowering vine border between double floral stripes, approx: 6ft.2in. x 4ft.1in.(188cm. x 124cm.) Classic design for this type with well balanced colours. This rug has even wear to the pile. Selvaves rebound, well done. Ends with short fringes, secured. Fine weave, approx: 7 x 7 knots per sq. cm. In general this rug is in decent usable condition. Despite the wear this piece still retains a good look. Good furnishing rug.
