Opaque pigments, white wash, and pencil on wove paper, comprising two vertical compositions portraying different stages in the Indian pottery-making industry, the first portrait with four Indian potters moulding and shaping earthenware vases and cups, a pencil inscription in Urdu at the bottom; the latter with a craftsman blowing air in a small rounded kiln firing pyriform vases, mounted, glazed and framed, the folio 23.5cm x 19.5cm, 45.5cm x 38.5cm including the frame.
