AN INDIAN SILVER TWO-PIECE CRUET SET AND A SCENT BOTTLE
Kutch, Gujarat, West India, late 19th century

Comprising a set of salt and pepper shakers, each of pyriform shape, resting on a short everted foot, rising to a pierced dome-like lid, chased in relief with lush rosette sprays and foliage in the typical style of Kutch silver production, unmarked, 7.7cm high; and a scent bottle with a globular stopper, the vegetal decoration on the exterior following Kutch silver standards, with a plain escutcheon plate on one side, marked in Gujarati on the base, 18.5cm high.
