A SUMERIAN STEATITE CYLINDER SEAL First half of 3rd Millennium B.C. Carved in white steatite, depicting a scene of fighting animals, including bovines, caprids and felines, 3.9cm long. Provenance: Collection of Jean-Philippe Mariaud de Serres; Acquired at French auction 2 October 2000 by current owner.
