TWO INDIAN SILVER ROSEWATER SPRINKLERS
Kutch, Gujarat, West India, mid to late 19th century

Each of typical bulbous shape, resting on a gently stepped, splayed foot rising to a tall, tapering neck with everted rim surmounted by a hemispherical pierced sprinkler top, one bottle slightly bigger than the other, the exterior of each sprinkler decorated with typical motifs of Kutch silver production including scrolling foliate stems, stylised palmettes, and rosette sprays, the base of the larger bottle engraved with Indian numerals, the smaller unmarked, 34cm and 30cm high respectively.
