Flint (Sir William Russell, R.A.)

Flint (Sir William Russell, R.A.)

A collection of five autograph letters signed (‘Willie’ or ‘W. Russell Flint’) to Peggy, Griff & Monica Davies, mostly on the subject of flowers and health: “what an idiot to fall flat on my face! Mind, the local council is to blame for a most iniquitous hole in the pavement. But I’ve had a lesson. Bruises galore count for nothing [...] though I keep on a-cussin’ & a’dammin’ (if Mayfair Avenue understands such outrageous language!!!) But hour by hour my language will become more temperate - at least I hope so”, 6pp., on ‘Peel Cottage’ headed paper, 3 with envelopes, 4to, 1968-69 (5)

Estimated at £200 - £300
