AN ANTIQIUE SERAB RUNNER, NORTH-WEST PERSIA

In an ivory border of stylised flowerheads, angular floral sprays and delicate floral tendrils between floral and barber-pole stripes, approx: 448cm. x 112cm. Very good example for this type with good colour conmbination. This runner has slight localized wear to the pile. Selvages partly rebound with other parts, loss of wool on cord. Short fringes, secured. Tiny fraying in one corner. In general this runner is in good usable condition. Good size and very good furnishing piece. Woven on wool foundation.
