Carved in low relief with the five Tathgathas (five Great Buddhas), each seated on a lotus throne elevated on a platform supported by pairs of different symbolic animals and beneath a pointing arch, the central figure of Vairocana surrounded by protective mythical beasts, Garuda perched above his head, all on a ground of meaty foliage and within borders of beads and leafy scrolls, 72.5 x 21cm.
