London 1755 by John Cafe
A set of four George II sterling silver candlesticks

Shaped square form bases with stylised shell corners, the columns with shaped knops leading to capitals with gadrooned borders. Each with removable sconces, similarly formed. Each engraved with a crest of a greyhound, collared, sejant charged with a trefoil slipped. Fully marked underneath, lion passant to the capitals, the sconces unmarked. (4)

Height – 24.6 cm / 9.75 inches

Weight – 2600 grams / 83.59 ozt

The crest is for Plamer of Surrey
