A very fine black lacquer four-case inro with the ground decorated in mura-nashiji and further adorned in takamaki-e with gold leaf details, depicting to one side a ho-o bird (phoenix) perched on a flowering kiri tree (Paulownia), the continuous design wrapping around all sides, the interior in nashiji, together with a silk cord and a mixed-metal work ojime bead, signed Hideteru with a kao
