A SERAB RUNNER, NORTH-WEST PERSIA

The soft red field with single column of seven linked and stepped bouble hexagonal medallions, each containing hooked open panel center piece. All flanked with serrated half floral panels in an ivory border of hooked panels and angular floral vine, between hookes vine and arrowhead stripes. Outer plain stripes, approx.13ft. x 3ft6in.(396cm x 107cm). Good example for this type. With well drwan design and well balanced colous. This runner has slight localised wear to the pile, down to knot collar and below. Salvages origianal, partly rebounded. Touches of fraying. Ends with short fringes. Good usable condition.
