A late 19th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver christening mug, Madras dated 1899
Raj period. Of rounded tapering form upon a circular foot, the body with embossed decoration in swami pattern, depicting gods upon their vehicles (vahana). The loop form handle with chased decoration as snakeskin. Engraved to the front with initials and date R.H.H 1899. Gilt interior.
