SELECTION OF PHOTOGRAPHS OF JAPAN AND TWO CARTES DE VISITES, c.1910-1920s, subjects include landscapes, architecture, portraits and everyday life scenes, and two cartes de visites of Japanese officials, photographers include Maruki Riyō (1854-1923), completed with letters from The Bank of Japan (Tokyo), dates June 1922. Silver gelatin prints (37) and two cartes de visites, image size, approx. 140 x 100mm, 135 x 90mm, with written label (Japanese) affixed verso, some examples with pencil annotations in Japanese verso, one carte de visite numbered in pencil on card verso, with label written in ink in Japanese, and blind stamp in card lower margin.
