λ A JAPANESE IVORY 'TAKARABUNE' NETSUKE BY RYUKEI II.

Edo / Meiji period, 19th Century.

Finely carved in form of a ship crashing waves with a dragon figurehead, the deck populated with minute figures of the Seven Lucky Gods (Shichifukujin) beneath a square sail and a crane flying above, the base with an oval cartouche inscribed Ruykei with kao, 3.8cm long.
