A QAJAR KHANJAR DAGGER WITH MULTIPLE BLADES AND AN ACID-ETCHED SPEARHEAD

Comprising a khanjar dagger with an unusual, curved, double-edged, three-sided steel blade with multiple points, the fuller with a pronounced central ridge, the ricasso etched with a rectangular panel with a pair of Qajar youths kneeling in front of each other, a pair of birds, and a cusped gold-inlaid arabesque cartouche, a similar decorative vocabulary reproduced on the I-shaped steel hilt and scabbard, both etched with cusped cartouches filled with Qajar youths and floral motifs, 48.5cm long including the scabbard; and a steel spearhead with figural decoration amidst interlocking and scrolling vegetal trellis, 42.5cm long.
