An early 20th century Chinese Export silver fruit bowl, Shanghai circa 1900, retailed by Wa Chun of Canton and Hong Kong
Qing dynasty, of hemispherical form upon a tapering collet foot. The body with embossed and pierced decoration of two trailing Chinese dragons amidst clouds, centring upon the sacred pearl, as a vacant cartouche. Fitted with a later cranberry glass liner. Marked underneath with retailer’s mark WA and with workshop artisan mark 寧趙記 (Ning Zhao Ji).
