An early 20th century Chinese Export silver three-piece bachelor tea set, Canton circa 1900 retailed by Wang Hing
Qing dynasty, comprising a teapot, a milk jug and a twin handled sugar bowl. Each of globular form with embossed decoration of bamboo shoots against a textured ground. The teapot with an opposable swing handle formed as bamboo, with a pull off gently domed lid surmounted by a detachable fluted globular finial. The milk and sugar with similar bamboo modelled handles and gilt interiors. The teapot and sugar bowl marked underneath with retailer’s mark WH and numeral 90 with artisan mark 寳生 (BAO SHENG), the milk jug with retailer’s mark WH, separate numeral 90 and artisan mark 卓 (ZHUO).
