Hector Mithobius (1532-1607) was a doctor and astronomer who served as personal physician to Duke Wilhelm and his son Ernst, and from 1568 was also a city physician in Hanover. He printed and published calendars and forecasts from at least 1539, a skill he apparently learnt from his father. His almanacs are now scarce.
