An early 20th century Chinese export silver card case, Canton circa 1910, marked Yan Chang, retailed by Wing Nam of Hong Kong
Qing dynasty. Of rectangular form with curved sides, a hinged lid with push button release. Chased decoration to the front of flowering prunus populated with birds and a vacant shield shape cartouche, the reverse with two figures besides buildings, a bridge and mountainscape in the background. Marked to the lid bezel with artisan mark 炎昌 (YAN CHANG), and retailer’s mark WN.
