***Featuring one of the earliest English printings of the American Constitution, beginning on pp. 1008-1011 in the November issue of 1787 and concluding on pp. 1110-1112 in the December issue.
The Gentleman's Magazine was the first to use the term ‘magazine’ for a periodical. Samuel Johnson's first regular employment as a writer was with the publication.
