Annalium tam Regum Edwardi quinti, Richardi tertij, and Henrici septimi, quam Henrici octavi titulorum ordine alphabetico digestorum, elenchus, FIRST EDITION, text in Anglo-Norman, black letter, woodcut initials, title dusty, slight browning and marginal staining to first few leaves, small wormtrail at gutter of central gatherings, N22 torn at right blank margin, copy of the Los Angeles Law Library (bookplate), contemporary calf, boards featuring initials ‘WP’ and blind tooled oval centrepiece, spine restored, upper hinge splitting and binding coming loose, 8vo, [STC 11034; Beale T354; Cowley 73], 8vo, Richard Tottell, 1579.

*** Early example of Common Law index in England. William Fleetwood (1535? – 1594) was an English lawyer and politician. He was Member of Parliament for the city of London several between 1572 and 1592, but his most important position was as ‘Recorder’ of London from 1571 to 1591.
