A William IV sterling silver claret jug or ewer

Of lobed ‘melonized’ form upon a rocaille splay foot, an open work C scroll handle formed as interlaced vine, adjoining to the body with bunches of grapes. The curved neck with a pull out silver stopper, surmounted by cast finial of bunch of grapes. Fully marked to the pouring lip, and to the stopper, stamped underneath 801.
