A rare Victorian sterling silver and enamel bachelor three piece tea service

Comprising a teapot, a milk jug, and a twin handled sugar bowl. Each of rounded form, the teapot with a spout opposite a spirally turned wooden handle, leading to a hinged domed lid surmounted by a detachable porcelain finial. Each with four applied enamel plaques of winged putto or cherubs in various pursuits, against chased foliate scrolls and fluting, a vacant circular cartouche to each. The milk and sugar with traces of gilt interior to each, the teapot with gilt interior. Engraved underneath the teapot “The birth and triumph of love”. Each fully marked. (3)
