Hickson; Sotheby's, London, 10th November 1969, lot 69 (£270 to Rappolt); Rappolt Collection, Christie's, London, 14th October 1998 Exhibited: Comerford Collection at the Irish Architectural Archives, Dublin, 2009 Literature: The Comerford Collection: Portrait Miniatures, (privately published, Dublin, 2009) pp 9, 37 (# 138) Robertson was a contributor of miniatures and flower pieces to the Dublin Exhibition in 1800, 1801 and 1802, and miniatures and small portraits in watercolour from 1811 to 1821. He visited London in 1806 and exhibited two miniatures in the Academy, his address being given in the catalogue as "Charles Robertson from Dublin, 93 New Bond Street". He is considered to be one of the leading miniaturists of his time in Ireland
