A Victorian sterling silver snuff box, Birmingham 1849 by Taylor and Perry

Of rectangular form with bombe sides, the sides and base decorated with dense engraved foliate scrolls, the lid with foliate C scrolls, shells and lattice work reserves. The lid engraved “won by the BLK & WHT Dog Raby the property of T. L. Elmor Esqr., Scorton 1850” all below a crest of out of a mural coronet a dragon’s head. Gilt interior. Fully marked between base and top.

Length – 9 cm / 3.5 inches
