An early George III Scottish sterling silver sauceboat, Edinburgh 1762 by James McKenzie I (possibly)
Of inverted baluster form upon an oval foot with gadrooned and moulded section, the shaped rim with shell back and gadrooning leading to a C scroll handle. The body contemporaneous embossed decoration to each side of a floral swag. Later engraved underneath lip with a crest of an eagle displayed, traces of original crest and motto underneath. Fully marked underneath.
