AN ANTIQUE LORI PAMBAK KAZAK RUG, SOUTH CAUCAUSUS

The shaded rust red field with hooked and checkered lozenge panels, stellar flowerheads, small rosettes and birdsaround three large indigo and light blue octagonal linked medallions, each containing rust hooked panle with hooked bars. In an indigo border of glass motif, serrated leaf and shaped panels between rust hooked vine and ivory hooked boteh motif, approx. 272cm x 150cm. Very nicely drawn design with good colour combination, bold appearance. this rug has scattered old repairs which are slightly fading, touches of wear to the top pile in some places. Black is slightly corroded. Salvages rebound. Ends with short fringes. In general this rug is in good usable condition. Attractive and very good example for this type.
