A cased set of early Victorian sterling silver and steel scales, London 1839 by John Clark (reg. 30th July 1823)
The weighing pans of silver, of dished circular form, the steel frame stamped Class I to weigh 1 Oz Steven & Son, Goswell Road, the reverse stamped VR crowned. Each fully marked to pan. Housed in a contemporaneous mahogany case.

Mark: Grimwade 1793, no record of apprenticeship or freedom, address 38 Cow Cross
