A cased pair of late 19th century guilloche enamel opera glasses, circa 1880 by Callaghan, New Bond Street
The barrel with translucent royal blue guilloche enamel with papillion enamel stars, edged with painted enamel courses of roses and forget me nots. Mother of pearl turning wheel and eye rests, the front section engraved EW in cursive script flourished. Single draw. The extending section engraved Callaghan 23a New Bond Street, corner of Conduit Street, London. Houses within a velvet traveling case.
