An early 19th century Maltese colonial silver basting spoon, circa 1810-20 probably by Gloriano Schembri (reg. 1808)
Oakes period. Fiddle pattern, virginal erased. Marked with maker’s mark a crescent above a tower (Farrugia 284), and stag’s head F for French standard (956 standard).

This maker’s mark may also be for Salvatore Camilleri reg. 17th Oct 1783 (Farrugia 157)
