A fine Chinese Yaozhou celadon 'waves' carved dish, Northern Song dynasty
北宋 耀州青釉刻花小盤

The finely potted dish of shallow form, the interior carved and combed with turbulent waves, the exterior decorated with a single incised line, covered overall with an attractive olive-green glaze, stopping neatly in a circle around the base exposing the body, together with a Japanese wood box and cover (tomobako)
