TWO GILT AND POLYCHROME-ENAMELLED BANGLES WITH PARROT HEADS
Jaipur, Rajasthan, North-Western India, 20th century

Each of circular shape, the ends formed by regardant parrots (one pair green, the latter red), the external decoration consisting of a golden floral spray encrusted with glass and clusters of small polki diamonds against a red and blue background, the interior enamelled with typical Jaipuri palette in red, white and green tones with lush floral meander, a removable pin opening the top of the red bracelet, the blue bangle damaged, each 6.5cm diam.
