An early 20th century Austrian 935 standard silver and enamel compact

Of circular form with a hinged lid. With engine turned decoration topped with ciel blue guilloche enamel. The top with painted enamel scene of 'The Spring' by Francois Boucher, depicting a pastoral scene of courtship. The gilt interior fitted with mirror. Stamped with Austrian post 1922 assay mark, sterling, made in Austria and 769.
