An early 20th century 935 standard and enamel compact

Of compressed circular form, with a hinged lid to s simple thumbpiece. The top with painted enamel pastoral scene of two lovers, reserved in a strapwork border of rosettes and scrolls, all around turquoise blue guilloche enamel. Marked with post-1922 Austrian mark on thumbpiece. The gilt interior fitted with mirror. Stamped Made in Austria, Sterling, 935, maker's mark, and numbered 7938.
