1961 was a famed vintage with many of the top Bordeaux Chateaux producing wines of Legend. Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou, known as a super second, was one such.

Varying Fill levels as can be seen in the 3 Photos - Labels torn or missing throughout lot. Capsules heavily scuffed.

Capsules and corks are sound although fragile.

"Tasted six times with consistent notes. Fully mature, yet continuing to exhibit gobs of rich, lush, expansive fruit, the 1961 has amber/orange edges, and possesses an exotic bouquet of ripe fruit, vanillin, caramel, mint, and cedar. Fat, rich, and loaded with sweet, highly extracted fruit, this velvety, beautifully crafted wine has a 60-75 second finish. It is a brilliant wine that should hold up nicely for up to a decade.”
