Opaque pigments, pen and ink on paper, 6ll. of black ink nasta'liq script, divided in four columns of Persian poetry, with a large vertical illustration depicting a cavalry battle scene, a king on dappled steed approaching the battle field on the upper right corner, the verso, 27ll., with the story of Zal’s return from Manouchehr to Sam and his marriage to Roudabeh, within gold and black rules, the left margin pasted on board, 37cm x 23cm.
