Three Persian manuscripts on paper, comprising an incomplete collection of Sonnets by Hafez (5 to 396 of 495), 104ff. plus five fly leaves, each folio with 11ll. of black ink nasta’liq script arranged in two columns, the takhallos lines in double cartouches, certain folios with more decorative pagination, with catchwords, the text within red, gold, and blue rules, with marbled end papers, in embossed green velvet binding, the text panel 14.5cm x 6.5cm, the folio 19cm x 11cm; another manuscript of Urfi’s elegies, 156ff. plus 8 fly leaves, each folio with 19ll. of nasta’liq script, some in red rules, in tooled red binding, 21.5cm x 13cm; and the Mathnawi of Mohit A’zam by Bidel Dihlavi (1644 - 1720), 384ff. plus two fly leaves, each folio with 16ll. of black ink nasta'liq, chapter headings in red, within gold and black rules, with catchwords, in dark brown leather binding and red cloth sleeve, the text panel 16cm x 5.5cm, the folio 22.5m x 10.7cm.
