A George III silver snuff box, London circa 1770 by Augustin Le Sage

Of circular form with a gently domed pull off lid with reeded edge. The lid engraved with a winged figure of Chronos holding a scythe and an hourglass, beneath which a band reading Time Overcomes All. Gilt interior. Marked to the base and to the lid interior with maker’s mark only.
