A companion to the Holy Qur'an, Turkish manuscript prose and poetry on paper, 27ff. plus four later fly leaves, each folio with 15II. of black ink naskh script, the red chapter headings within gold cartouches and key letters also in red ink, the opening folio with fine gold and polychrome illumination, red and gold grid-pattern illumination reminiscent of the column division used in poetry texts, gold verse markers, catchwords in burnished gold band and red rules, the illuminated signature cartouche left blank, yellow marked end papers, in an aquamarine blue satin binding within gold-stamped and dark red morocco leather border, stamped with a library mark of Muhammad Murad 1311 AH (1893), the text panel 13.5cm x 7.5cm, the folio 18.5cm x 12.2cm.
