A fine Japanese bronze ‘tsuki no usagi' incense burner (koro), Edo period

The finely cast bronze censer, koro, in the form of the moon gazing rabbit (tsuki no usagi), the detachable head forming the opening of the censer, the back perforated with three holes to release the incense, the head gazing upwards and holding a ruyi scepter in its mouth
