of circular form with pull of lid. The unmarked gold mounts with chased roundels. The lid with a painting a young lady in a straw hat topped with ostrich feathers, before a basket of flowers, with a young hiding in the corner, in the background a large chateau with manicured ground, with farmland beyond that populated with cattle. Glazed. The sides and base of red lacquer with inlaid roundels of abalone shell. Tortoiseshell interior. The mounts with indistinct guarantee marks.
