A William IV sterling silver snuff box, London 1834 by Edward Edwards II

Rectangular form, with reeded sides, the lid raised by a chased thumbpiece. Engine turned decoration with plain edges, the lid with a rectangular cartouche with scroll surround engraved with crest of a lion passant guardant. Gilt interior. Fully marked to base, part-marked to lid.

Length – 7.8 cm / 3 inches
