The arms are for Gregory of Lenton, Nottinghamshire

for George de Ligne Gregory (1740 - 1822), appointed as High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire in 1793. In 1782 he built Hungerton Hall as his residence.

By 1758 George de Ligne Gregory had inherited the Manor of Harlaxton, Lincolnshire. When he died in 1822 his nephew, Gregory Williams (1786-1854), who had travelled in Europe attached to various Embassies and who collected works of art, inherited and became Gregory Gregory. Gregory commissioned Anthony Salvin to design the new house and in 1838 William Burn and his partner David Bryce were employed. The old house was demolished in c 1850 (Murden 1976). During the First World War the 11th Division and then the trench warfare school were stationed at the Manor. The Gregory family remained at the Manor until 1937 when the estate was sold by Major Philip Pearson-Gregory.

This set of arms is known on bookplates for George de Ligne Gregory, his portrait was painted in 1793 by John Russell (English, 1745 - 1806) (J. Paul Getty Museum).

Almost certainly: The 1866 plate inventory at Harlaxton lists number "a teapot engraved" at 21 ozt 12 dwt, number 61, p.93, line 195.
