Note: In 1964 Chagall unveiled his remarkable ceiling fresco at the Opéra Garnier, Paris. The fresco, commissioned to replace the original 19th-century ceiling, stirred controversy at first but has since become a beloved highlight of the Opera Garnier, blending modern artistry with historic grandeur. This work, published in the same year as the fresco unveiling, is an original travel advertising poster produced by the French Government to promote travel to Paris.
