An early 20^th century Austrian silver and enamel novelty erotic cigarette case, Vienna dated 1903 probably by Johann Rothbaur (active 1887-1924)

Of curved rectangular form, the top with enamel scene of reclining female nude with cherub yeilding an arrow amongst clouds. The reverse with engraved cypher ' HX' ' N.H' below Russian Princely coronet. Gilt interior with russian inscription "на добрую память оть бывшаго сослуживца, С. Петербург 1903г." in good memory of a former collegue, S. Petersburg 1903'. Gilt interior. Austrain assay mark for 900 standard and partial maker's mark, also marked to one side with kokoshnik (Moscow post-1908) and mark possibly ГP, also with this on push button release.
